The first full Hunger Games trailer has finally hit the web, a moment that a lot of fans of the book have been waiting for. I’m one of those people who haven’t read the books and don’t actually know too much about the story other than what some of my friends have explained to me… so this morning I was able to watch the new trailer with a fresh set of eyes unbiased by a pre-existing love for the material or outrageously hight and skeptical expectations.
So what do I think of it? I’m not impressed. If I had never heard of “Hunger Games” or knew how many people were looking forward to seeing it on the big screen, this trailer would have done NOTHING to entice me to see it or generate any excitement in to about the movie at all. Frankly it looks like a low budget student film to me (which really is not a good or bad thing now that I think about it).
This is just a trailer… and not matter how good it is it doesn’t mean the movie will be good… and no matter how bad it is it doesn’t mean the movie will be bad so I’m certainly not passing any judgements on the MOVIE. All I’m saying is that based on the trailer alone, I’m not pumped to see this one in the least.

The premise of the film is intriguing, but I agree, this trailer doesn’t really do anything to get me too excited for the film. Some big names are involved with this and I really like Jennifer Lawrence, so we’ll see.

You could at least write “picture not by us” or something like that underneath the picture.
